I gave her my credit card number. Wendy said she was driving and pulled over to write it down.
We originally booked two nights through Airbnb, but it turned out we could only stay one. I changed the booking online and wrote Wendy, the owner, a note. She never responded. A couple of days before the trip, I received an automated email confirming our stay for two nights.
I have yet to hear anything from Wendy. At this point, I'm not holding my breath.
I called Wendy and left a message. (Her cell phone has no name or ID of any kind on it) and she got back to me saying there was a two night minimum. She then said she'd make an exception, but I had to book through her directly rather than Airbnb since her setting on that site was for two nights.
On the day of our trip, I called her an hour before we arrived and left a message. We got to The Miner's Cottage at 4:30, and found a locked door and no Wendy. I called her again, waited around, called again. I called my credit card company and found out that she had never ran my card. I called again, waited some more and finally we started a frantic sojourn through Jerome--it was getting dark--until we luckily found another hotel with a vacant room.
I was extremely disappointed with my experience with The Miner's Cottage. I never even saw the inside of the place.
